We are pleased to pledge £1,000 as corporate sponsor’s for the ‘A Germ’s Journey’ project led by Dr Katie Laird from De Montfort University.
The project aims to raise £10,000 in order to re-create the original health hygiene book, “A Germs Journey” in Gujarati. The funds raised will supply the book and other free educational resources for children in heavily deprived areas of the Ahmedabad region in the state of Gujarat, India. It is vitally important that the book will be in Gujarati with a cultural context that the children will understand.
Dr Andrew Kemp PhD (Bio) is the Principle Scientific Officer and CEO of Q Technologies Group, he became aware of A Germ’s Journey while contributing to the Infectious Diseases Special Interest Group chaired by Dr Laird.
He said: “I was very impressed with A Germ’s Journey, we are pleased to have the opportunity to support the new A Germ’s Journey Around the World. Through our international distributor network, we are aware that culturally relevant resources on the spread of infection and hand hygiene are a much-needed accessible resource.”
